WHO WE ARE

Changing Lives Through Changing Minds is a not-for-profit community interest company, established in 2017, providing therapeutic support.
 
Our team is multi-disciplinary, including Therapists, Social Workers, Tutors and Therapeutic Practitioners.  Our practice is underpinned by current theory and research.
 
Our staff are qualified, experienced and registered with governing bodies, including BACP organisation membership and membership of Association of Child Protection Professionals.

The work we do at our Not-For Profit Organisation is to provide an holistic and systemic approach to therapy, working within a diverse community.  Our fundamental goal is to empower our clients to achieve.  Our approach is to increase emotional intelligence to further develop their strengths and increase resilience.

ALTERNATIVE PROVISION

Alternative Provision: Changing Lives Through Changing Minds is an established alternative education provision, underpinned with therapeutic theory and practice.
 We specialise in supporting children and young people who have difficulties learning due to mental health, attachment, trauma and/or looked after children.  We have developed an excellent relationship and reputation with schools, colleges and local authorities, having evidenced successful outcomes; references available.
Our project received an outstanding achievement to learning community award 2018

1:1 THERAPEUTIC SUPPORT

WHAT DO WE OFFER
 We provide therapeutic support packages for children, young people, adults and families.   Our therapeutic team are qualified and registered therapists with many years of experience.  We are safeguarding trained, DBS checked and Insured.
 
Our therapeutic offer includes individual sessions, group work and family therapy.
 
In addition, we provide training for professionals, parents/carers, provide consultation and clinical supervision

MISSING CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE PROJECT

Missing Children & Young people. (Managing your moods and Emotions.)

Aims:

This is a new service launched in 2019.

WHAT DO WE OFFER We provide a systemic therapeutic approach to supporting children and young people who have been reported missing. Our interventions include supporting their families and professional network. 
 
The aim of the project, funded by the Community Safety Partnership, is to prevent missing incidents and child exploitation.
 
We promote safe homes and nurturing families, specifically understanding the underlying needs of missing children and young people. 

Our systemic approach includes:

 
Provide therapeutic approaches for children, young people and their families to create a safer home environment Workforce training and development Promote positive activities to reduce criminality Increase resilience and emotional intellegence Develop strategies to reduce substance misuse Increase aspirations and improve access to education and training Raise awareness how young people can prevent themselves being exploited Support young people to gain an understanding of keeping safe

TRAINING & CONSULTATION

WHAT DO WE OFFER
 Our therapeutic team provides a variety of training courses, CPD workshops and consultation opportunities.
 This training is available to social workers, teachers, adopters, foster carers, kinship carers, parents, counsellors, therapists and other professionals.  Our ethos is to listen and learn from each others experiences.
